Moving History, a Guardian Dance Company project, uses dance to teach students about the contributions made by African Americans. Through the study of Jazz, Breakdance, Lindy Hop and traditional West African rhythms and movements, students learn about the beauty, dignity and far-reaching impact of African American culture. This project was supported by a $169,000 grant from the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund in 2019. We plan to continue in 2020!
In order to maintain our excellent programming, we need support over the next few months to bridge the divide between our last wave of funding and the next. Please consider donating! Your generous gift will keep little feet dancing across the city.
