Guardian Baltimore, with financial support from the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund, engaged over 250 students across Baltimore in the study of African American history through dance. Help us to keep programs running by donating today!
Moving History, a Guardian Dance Company project, uses dance to teach students about the contributions made by African Americans. Through the study of Jazz, Breakdance, Lindy Hop and traditional West African rhythms and movements, students learn about the beauty, dignity and far-reaching impact of African American culture. This project was supported by a $169,000 grant from the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund in 2019. We plan to continue in 2020!
